I generally spend this time planning the next year ahead for my organisation, mapping the next year for my family and myself. However, this time it was different, this year, we at Sennheiser wanted to give back to the society and spread the love we got from our consumers. As I woke up to check my daily schedule and meetings that were lined up for the day, I looked ahead for a special meeting. The meeting was special since I was to have an interaction with little children, an interaction that indeed was the most fulfilling one. Each day I am reminded of how deeply flawed our world is. Power, greed and sometimes sheer neglect has resulted in so much human suffering, it hurts my heart and soul just to think about it. In the midst of all this turmoil, it’s difficult to see the beauty, the magic and the hope that still exists. It does exist, and there are lots of precious moments that allow us to see the world again with optimism and hope for what lies ahead.  I often experienced such moments-the baby yet to be named -and therefore referred as Baby of Rekha. He had undergone a complicated heart surgery about a month ago, and was here that day for a follow up visit. Seeing the little child, barely 3 months old, for the first time was a moment of pure...joy. I watched his mother look at him with awe and pride, it was priceless. Anjali had been diagnosed with a life-threatening heart condition. Her family, who had insufficient funds for the necessary treatment, had frantically travelled from hospital to the bank in the hope that they could somehow get her treated. Luckily, a connection with the Genesis Foundation (and their donor community) made the surgery possible.
